High voltage support services for the Changfang and Xidao wind project

Overview

OEG Renewables supported the construction and energisation phase of the Changfang and Xidao (CFXD) offshore wind project in Taiwan with the provision of high voltage (HV) services.

After commercial engagement in April 2023, OEG Renewables' high voltage team mobilised and delivered an operational team to support the client’s HV service requirements. Deployment of these resources was carried out efficiently and as contractually agreed to ensure the projects targets were not compromised.

OEG Renewables' high voltage team was responsible for the HV safety and energisation interfaces regarding HV control during the construction phase of the project.

Solution

The solution for CFXD comprised:

  • Lead SAP 161kV

  • HV Control Engineer

  • Offshore back-to-back cover 66kV SAP

  • Interface management

All OEG Renewables' resource provided has proven track record of industry recognised experience and authorisations and are competent to be deployed and become operationally active after standard project onboarding. Internally, all OEG Renewables' high voltage resources are authorised in house to the highest standards to ensure the resource once deployed achieves the projects HV authorisation standards if required.
